Acquired defective CD 100

Was offered this defective CD 100 for acquisition.

First Finding , Laser won’t turn on ?

This is a later model and has a CDM-1

The laser safety switch is not working because the mechanical switch is not being operated, due to a small block on the cover being loose.

Strange problems, turned out to be slowly dying SAA7010 ;-(

okay the SAA7010 is not dead something else is the problem
