CD 304

A CD 304 secondhand that has been recapped  and is still not working , if i could a have a look. 🙂

All capacitors already replaced

also resoldered

first problem a capacitor 6n8 with a lot of solder on top,, capacitor is open  circuit

 

 

Looks funny

HF signal cable from CDM-1 has been reconnected to stocko connector

18 pin ic socket for a 16 pin IC  , strange

 

 

After replacing faulty capicitor m player start spinning,  there is something of a Eye-Pattern, so lasers is working,

 

Checking Clocks and the one on SAA7000 is missing

 

 

Problem found , griplet has been replaced with wire, but not connection to GND

 

After desoldering  and resoldering the griplet with extra Flux the clock is runing agian

 

Still there is a problem so i replaced the servo board with a working board and the player is working, compared faulty board with working one. short found

 

 

 

After removing the short the player is working, but there is an other short in the display board

 

 

short between pin 11 & 12 of IC 6052
