Philips installed a CD Standards and Evaluation Lab. This lab equipped with specific equipment and trained staff is effectively the world wide reference lab for CD measurements.<\/p>\n
“De afdeling Licensing support houdt zich bezig met het wereldwijd verstrekken en beheren van\u00a0eigen licenties, en van licenties van derden die hen hierom hebben gevraagd, op het gebied van\u00a0optische registratiemedia. Denk hierbij an producten als LaserDisc, Compact Disc en DVD. De\u00a0wereldwijde controle op de naleving van de bepalingen in de licenties en het opsporen van\u00a0illegal gefabriceerde producten hoort ook tot de taken van deze afdeling.\u00a0Licensing support beschikt over het CD Standards and Evaluation Lab, de\u00a0plaats waar de cd-standaard wordt bewaakt. Hier kan voor licentiehouders\u00a0worden gecontroleerd of producten binnen de specificaties van de\u00a0productstandaard vallen. De medewerkers vergelijken hun lab graag met\u00a0het Bureau International des Poids et M\u00e9sures te Paris, waar de standaard\u00a0meter wordt bewaard. Voor deze dienstverlening is een groot aantal tests\u00a0ontwikkeld.<\/p>\n
