De aanleiding om de Stichting tot Behoud van Historische Philips Producten (SBHP) in het leven te roepen was\u00a0het 100-jarig bestaan van Philips in 1991. De Stichting stelt zich ten doel het verwerven, restaureren en beheren van een representatieve collectie van Philips producten.\u00a0Op 15 mei 1992 gingen de eerste vrijwilligers\u00a0in de voormalige Philips Bedrijfsschool\u00a0aan de Kastanjelaan in Eindhoven\u00a0aan de slag.<\/p>\n

In de loop der jaren hebben de vrijwilligers van de Stichting een groot aantal producten gerestaureerd en van documentatie voorzien. Een deel daarvan is als Historische Philips Producten van 1996 tot 1998 tentoongesteld in het Philipsgebouw EGG (destijds achter de \u201cWitte Dame\u201d) en later in\u00a0 het Philipsgebouw aan de Hurksestraat.\u00a0In 2004 is de Stichting verhuisd naar Looyenbeemd 24. Daar is opnieuw een veelzijdige presentatie ingericht, die een bezoek zeker waard is.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nCa. 10 stuks gebouwd ten behoeve van de ontwikkeling en\u00a0demonstraties.\u00a0Dit exemplaar is ‘Pinkeltje 2’. De bjibehorende
\nelectronica zat in een aparte kast. Deze prototypes werden\u00a0gebruikt totdat de eerste voorserie-modellen van de CD100
\nbeschikbaar kwamen.<\/p>\n
